John Locke had the island, but it was his intrepidness that anchored his will to get there (and of course a few other worldly coincidences).  The protagonists of Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation have an equally strong desire to help those who live with spinal cord injury and paralysis.  With aid generously provided by grants and advocacy, the champions of this worthy cause have taken strides in improving the quality of lives worldwide by helping to fund innovative research that would make Daniel Faraday proud. Trekking through the jungle in a remote location while providing medical care to others… no, this is not a description of Jack Shephard.  In nearly sixty countries that contend with very real and difficult situations, Doctors Without Borders provides independent and impartial assistance to those most in need.  Since 1971 this organization has run into the fray whenever and wherever assistance was needed.  Just imagine if The Others had been better neighbors.
